"ENRAPTURED"

SYNOPSIS
by Allan Jay Friedman

"A Portrait of Jenny" Meets "Madame Sousatzka."

From June to October, Agamenticus, a resort town off the coast of Maine, swarms with bathers and is bright with umbrellas and cabanas. But, when the first frost comes, there is a sudden exodus. Suddenly, the cottages are boarded up, the hotels are closed and the beautiful white beach is deserted.

The story of “Enraptured” begins one day in Indian summer….that brief spell of windless, warm golden hours. It tells of a shy Danish-American woman: Gudrun Peterson her Aunt, Madame Alva Ricci, and a handsome stranger whose name we never hear and don't need to know. He sails into the Agamenticus River from the open sea aboard a small boat and into Gudrun's and Alva's heart….to teach them both the meaning of love.
