Mike Fenton has cast some of the greatest movies ever made with over 31 years of experience working on award-winning motion pictures and television shows. He brings his legacy to the American Studio Corporation (ASC) where he is a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Fenton has achieved a well-deserved legendary status among his peers in Hollywood and the Entertainment industry, and was recently honored with the Hollywood Film Festival's Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, Mr. Fenton was the co-founder of the Casting Society of America (CSA). With a membership that now exceeds 330, the CSA is responsible for enforcing the highest standards of professionalism in casting. Mike Fenton is one of the top Casting Directors in the Entertainment business. He is the only Casting Director to work with every major Director in Hollywood.
He has cast over 250 productions including: The Godfather II, American Graffiti, Aliens, Blade Runner, Chinatown, E.T., One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Young Frankenstein, Marathon Man, Blown Away, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Burbs, Stakeout, Slapshot, Innerspace, Arthur II On The Rocks, Raiders of the Lost Ark I, II and III, Back to the Future I, II, and III, Total Recall, The Deep, Poltergeist, Footloose, Shampoo, and And Justice for All and is currently working on the "Last of the Savages," a new Sydney Pollack film. Mike Fenton was hired as the Expert Speaker for American Studio Corporation, as of January 24, 2003. He released a DVD/VHS 4 volume set entitled MIKE FENTON'S Actors Workshop, a 5 1/2 hour long "actors bible" which is the A to Z on everything one needs to know to make it in Hollywood.
Mr. Fenton has been greatly enthused by many actors during his lengthy career, helped them and used their talents as often as possible. He has worked with hundreds of the most famous actors today such as Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Barbara Hershey and Robert Downey, Jr. and watched their careers emerge. Mr. Fenton graduated from the UCLA film school and began his career in the mailroom at MCA Artists, being promoted to an agent. He later joined the casting office of Paramount Pictures and within a few short years formed Roos-Fenton Casting with Fred Roos, which was the beginning of his over 31 years of independent casting. he continues to cast many of Hollywood's leading film and television productions at his company Fenton-Cowitt Casting.
