Johnny Harris
Vice President of Music ProductionJohnny Harris was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music in London.
Today, he is an award winning producer, arranger, composer & Music Director, with literally dozens of television shows, television specials, feature films, and numerous gold and platinum albums to his credit.
He began his illustrious musical career as a professional trumpet player. His successful transition into arranging, conducting and composing offered him the opportunity to conduct and perform all over the world as Music Director and orchestrator for such celebrated performers as Tom Jones, Paul Anka, Diana Ross and Shirley MacLaine.
With many of his own songs and albums produced, Mr. Harris has also arranged and produced hit songs and albums for Sammy Davis, Jr., Dame Shirley Bassey and Richard Harris. He has included guest rock artists such as members of "Yes" and "Tonic" on his own albums. All of these performers as well as Barbra Streisand have recorded songs written by Mr. Harris.
One of his own albums, on the Warner Brothers label, entitled "Movements," was re-released world wide in the Fall of 2002, and was extremely well received. His second album entitled "All To Bring You Morning" is scheduled for re-release in the Fall of 2003.
In 2002 Mr. Harris enjoyed a successful collaboration with Emmy award winning composer-lyricist-writer-producer Allan J. Friedman. The project was an original pop opera entitled "Pinocchio and Mounette." Over twenty thousand people attended in a three week period with the sales of over ten thousand copies of the book and CD. This musical is currently being cloned in over three thousand markets around the world.
As a composer/arranger for film, stage and television, Mr. Harris is called upon to write and produce every kind of music from techno to classical. Though his preference is to collaborate and make music with live musicians, he has also become one of the foremost accomplished producers of "Virtual Orchestra" scores and arrangements in recent years. He has done the orchestrations for the Famed Palm Springs Follies from its inception.
With his "Virtual Orchestra," he has created an original new product, Musical names TM, presently being sold in national retail locations everywhere.
